The heart, the vision, and the people behind New Wine — from a home gathering in 2022 to a community still being made new.

"No one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined." Matthew 9:17 · Luke 5:36–38

This is the scripture thenewine was built on. Every gathering, devotional, and page of "Devoted" carries the same conviction — that God is always making things new, and that we're invited to be new wineskins for it, not old ones straining to hold on to what's already passed.

Jumoke Ajide

Author of "Devoted"

Jumoke Ajide is the founder of The New Wine Ministries and the owner of TheMenuByAJ.
She is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and currently practices law with Templars, a Tier 1 law firm. Driven by her passion for ministry, entrepreneurship, and service, Jumoke creates spaces where faith, purpose, and excellence intersect, encouraging others to grow spiritually and live intentionally. Jumoke started New Wine around 2022 out of a handful of home gatherings — a small circle asking what it might look like to be made new. What began as conversation grew into meetings, devotionals shared on Instagram, and now her debut book, "Devoted." She leads with the same warmth and unhurried honesty that shaped those first living-room conversations.

2023

Meetings take shape

Gatherings grow into a regular rhythm — word, worship, and wonder — alongside "as led" spontaneous meetups.

2024

Devotionals go public

Reflections like "Hidden in God" and "Newness" begin reaching a wider community on Instagram.

2025–26

"Devoted" is written

Jumoke begins writing her debut book — a journey through tested and chosen devotion, born out of the community's story.

One home for it all

New Wine gathers its community, teaching, and the launch of "Devoted" into a single, calm digital home.

Why "Thenewine"

The New Wine is a Christian fellowship dedicated to creating an atmosphere of deep worship, spiritual growth, and genuine community. All the New Wine members gather to worship God deeply, study and discuss the Word, and pray together. As part of our commitment to the Great Commission, The New Wine aligns with Call2All to unite believers through worship, teaching, and spiritual edification. Thenewine takes its name from Jesus' words about new wine needing new wineskins — a picture of growth that can't be forced into old shapes. It's a call to keep becoming, not to stay comfortable, and it's the thread that runs through every devotional, meeting, and page of "Devoted."
